This is a panoramic view of Eccles Beach, one of Norfolks best kept secrets, taken in the last week of October 2007. It is after midday and the beach is still deserted, ideal for dog walking or flying a kite. Unfortunately a cloud threw a shadow over the beach when we took this pic which we did not see until it was transferred to our PC (too late!). In spite of the school half-term and the brilliant weather for the time of year there was no kids playing and little activity on the beach although there had been quite a lot of walkers over the course of the morning, the next tide cleared all the footprints.

Dog walking is still allowed on Eccles Beach but those doing so are required to clean up after their pets!

You can move your cursor onto the panaroma and go where you will or just sit listen to the waves and watch the scenery pass by!

This nice unspoiled sandy beach is ideal for children in the summer months although they should not be allowed into the water without close supervision as there are no lifeguards. The stone barriers (reefs) protect the beach from high tides and erosion, It is forbidden and extremely dangerous to climb on the rocks!
