The beach photo's below were taken whilst walking our dogs (yes, with doggie bags!) in late October 2004. The weather was pleasant as it often is at this time of year. In our annual out-of-season visits to Sea Breeze we have walked the beach every day and never found it to be crowded. We have seen families with children playing on the sand on sunny days, even in October and November.

The beach and the dunes are protected against sea erosion by man-made reefs set just off shore. We are told that the beach is ideal for sea fishing, surf boarding etc. although we have not taken part in any of these activities, preferring to walk our dogs, play with our grandchildren or, on occasion, fly a kite - all popular pastimes on Eccles Beach. At the time of writing there are no dog restrictions in place throughout the year, except at Sea Palling during the season. Cleaning up after your pet on the beach and dunes will ensure that this relaxed attitude locally will continue!
Eccles Beach is ideal for children being safe and sandy, the dunes make a great place to run around and have adventures! - The sea should always be treated with respect, even on "safe beaches" children should never be allowed to play on the waters edge without responsible adult supervision. Swimming in the immediate vicinity of the man-made reefs or beyond is dangerous!
The absence of the commercial aspect of many seaside resorts and close proximity to our Sea Breeze Campsite is appreciated by many of our visitors. We have on many occasions seen seals off shore and on the beach as well as a variety of bird life. Walking a quarter of a mile to the East will take you to Sea Palling (and well beyond!). A longer walk to the west will take you to Happisburgh lighthouse set on the cliffs (we have rarely walked further but the sand continues on for several miles!)
We hope you and your family will enjoy the beach as much as we do......RossMag
