The photo's below were taken in late October 2004 on a walk along the beach from Sea Breeze Campsite to buy provisions from the Post Office and General Store at Sea Palling. The weather was mild and sunny with little wind! The walk from Sea Breeze should take about twenty minutes leisurely stroll, but it generally takes us a lot longer as we walk the shoreline, watch the surfers - some equiped with gigantic kites - . We also look for seals and exercise our dogs, Rory and L'Jack, (who have to investigate every piece of seaweed on the way!).... So on a nice day time can pass by very quickly indeed, it can take an hour or more just to buy a loaf!
Beach access at Sea Palling (pronounced Sea Pauling) is via a concrete boat ramp to the sand, used by the fishing boats, which is also convienient for visitors who may have difficulty accessing the beach over the dunes at Sea Breeze! - A Caution to dog owners, there are dog restrictions within the immediate vicinity of the boat ramp during the holiday season!

All along this shoreline man-made breakwaters set a short distance off shore, protect the beach and dunes which has ensured that the beach remains safe and sandy for holiday-makers. The beach is of fine golden sand which can prove difficult if using a pram or pushchair!
The village of Sea-Palling is very small with a lifeboat station and several static caravan sites. It does have a particularly well-stocked General Store and Post Office with an off-licence and an extensive range of provisions. Sea-Palling has a choice of cafés, chippy's, a public house and a small amusement arcade open during the season. For the enthusiast there is also a well equipped jet-ski centre, although we know nothing about jet-skiing we were surprised to discover that they can cost as much as a small car!
Sea Palling has plenty of parking (pay and display) and little of the commercialisation of larger seaside resorts, it would appeal to holiday-makers with young children. Even with our grandchildren in tow it is hard to find too many expensive distractions!
We hope you and your family will like Sea-Palling as much as we do......RossMag
